Skits guide
Can Claude make videos? Yes. Here is how, on your own PC.
Yes, in three ways. Claude Motion makes motion graphics inside Claude, in beta on Team and Enterprise plans. Claude Code writes video as code with Remotion or HyperFrames and renders an MP4 on your PC. And with Cinder Studio, Claude makes voiced, animated skits on your own PC, like this one. Press any line to hear it.

Three ways to get video out of Claude
None of the three generates footage the way a text-to-video model does. Claude writes the scene, the timing and the motion as code, and a renderer draws the frames. That is also why you can change one line and render again without starting over.
| Claude Motion | Claude Code with Remotion or HyperFrames | Cinder Studio | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Makes | Motion graphics; no realistic footage or people | Anything you can describe in code: kinetic type, data stories, promos | Voiced, animated 3D skits |
| Runs | Inside Claude, in beta | On your PC | On your Windows PC |
| Who can use it | Team and Enterprise plans | Anyone with Claude Code | Anyone with Claude Desktop or Claude Code |
| Cost | Counts toward your plan’s usage limits | HyperFrames: open source (Apache-2.0). Remotion: free for individuals and companies of up to 3 employees | |
| Effort | Type a prompt | Install Node, set up a project, prompt in a terminal | Install once, then ask in plain words |
Claude Motion: motion graphics inside Claude
Claude Motion is Anthropic’s tool for animated graphics inside Claude. You describe the piece, Claude builds it, and you export an MP4. It is a beta on Team and Enterprise plans and counts toward your plan’s usage limits. There is no video generation model behind it, so it does not make realistic footage or people. Anthropic’s guide has the details, and if you are on another plan, here is an alternative that runs on your PC.
Claude Code with Remotion or HyperFrames
Claude Code can write a video as a small web project. Remotion describes each frame in React; HyperFrames uses plain HTML and CSS. Either one renders an MP4 on your own PC. Both need Node, and HyperFrames also needs FFmpeg. On Windows, two commands install them:
winget install OpenJS.NodeJS.LTS
winget install Gyan.FFmpegThen follow our guide to motion graphics with Claude Code: prompting in beats, picking the easing and checking the render.
Cinder Studio: skits, voiced and rendered on your PC
Cinder Studio is our add-on for Claude Desktop and Claude Code. It gives Claude a cast of 38 characters, 15 sets, 40 voices and 3 looks (clay, cozy and toon), and Claude writes, voices and renders the skit on your own Windows PC. The skit at the top of this page is one of ours, made with the same characters and sets. Cinder Studio is not affiliated with Anthropic.

Which one should you use?
- You are on a Team or Enterprise plan and want animated graphics fast: start with Claude Motion.
- You want full control and a terminal does not scare you: Claude Code with HyperFrames or Remotion.
- You want voiced, animated skits without writing code: Cinder Studio.
What none of them do
None of these makes photoreal footage of real people or places. For that you need a text-to-video model, a different kind of tool with its own pricing. We compare the two ways of paying in AI video with no credits.
Questions
Can Claude generate videos?
Not the way a text-to-video model does. Claude writes the scene, the timing and the motion as code, and a renderer turns that code into frames. That is how Claude Motion, Claude Code with Remotion or HyperFrames, and Cinder Studio all get an MP4 out of Claude.
Is Claude Motion free?
Anthropic lists Claude Motion as a beta on Team and Enterprise plans, and what you make with it counts toward your plan’s usage limits.
Do I need a powerful PC?
Not for Cinder Studio. Its README asks for Windows 10 or 11, 8 GB of memory and about 6 GB of free disk, and a graphics card is optional. Remotion and HyperFrames need Node, and HyperFrames also needs FFmpeg.
Is Cinder Studio made by Anthropic?
No. Cinder Studio is made by Cinder, the team behind Agent Cinder, and is not affiliated with Anthropic. It works with Claude Desktop and Claude Code, and you need your own access to one of them.
