Motion guide
A Claude Motion alternative that runs on your PC
Claude Motion is a beta on Team and Enterprise plans and makes no realistic footage. If you are on another plan, or want the files on your own PC, Claude Code with HyperFrames or Remotion makes the same kind of work. Answer up to three questions to see which suits you.
What Claude Motion is
Claude Motion is Anthropic’s tool for motion graphics inside Claude. You describe the piece, Claude builds it, and you export an MP4. According to Anthropic’s guide, it is a beta on Team and Enterprise plans, what you make counts toward your plan’s usage limits, and there is no video generation model behind it, so it does not make realistic footage or people.
Motion graphics can also be written as code: shapes, type and timing that a renderer turns into frames. Claude Code writes that code on your own PC, and that is how we made our brand film.

Who each one suits
- Claude Motion if you are on a Team or Enterprise plan and want the quickest path, with nothing to install.
- HyperFrames if you think in web pages: it builds video from HTML and CSS, and it is open source.
- Remotion if you know React, or want its preview Studio in the browser.
- Cinder Motion if you would rather ask in plain words than set up a project. It is not on sale yet; see the plan.
Set one up on Windows
First, Node and FFmpeg
Remotion needs Node. HyperFrames needs Node 22 or newer, and FFmpeg. In a terminal:
winget install OpenJS.NodeJS.LTS
winget install Gyan.FFmpegThen close the terminal and open a new one, so it finds them.
HyperFrames
- Make a project:
npx hyperframes init my-video cd my-video - Add the HyperFrames plugin to Claude Code:Then type
claude plugin marketplace add heygen-com/hyperframes claude plugin install hyperframes@hyperframes/hyperframes:hyperframesin Claude Code and describe your video. - Preview it. This keeps running:
npx hyperframes preview - Render the MP4 from a second terminal:
npx hyperframes render
Remotion
- Make a blank project and add Remotion’s skills for Claude Code:
npx create-video --yes --blank my-video cd my-video npx remotion skills add - Start the preview. It runs in your browser and keeps running:
npm run dev - In a second terminal, in the same folder, start Claude Code and describe your video:
claude - Render with the Render button in the preview Studio, or ask Claude to render it.
Then read how to prompt for motion graphics: beats, easing and checking the render.
Questions
Is there a free alternative to Claude Motion?

Which plans include Claude Motion?
Anthropic lists Claude Motion as a beta on Team and Enterprise plans.
Should I use HyperFrames or Remotion?
HyperFrames if you would rather work in HTML and CSS; Remotion if you know React or want its preview Studio. Claude Code can write either, so you do not need to know the code yourself.
